This scholarship was created in honour and in fond memory of a highly respected Neskonlith Elder, Mary Thomas. Each year, the BC Aboriginal Child Care Society (BCACCS) offers one $1000 scholarship for eligible Basic ECE students and one $1500 scholarship for eligible Post-Basic ECE students.
Scholarships are awarded after students have completed either a Basic or Post-Basic ECE Certificate or Diploma program (including all practicum requirements). We encourage all Indigenous educators who have completed a program during the 2021/2022 school year to apply. These scholarships are available for full-time and part-time ECE students who meet the eligibility requirements.
The scholarship application is now open! The deadline is July 31, 2022.
Applicants will receive notification of the decision in the Fall of 2022. Best of luck!
