BCACCS Preschools

BCACCS is honoured to host two Aboriginal Head Start (AHS) preschools in Vancouver’s urban environment for Indigenous children ages 3-5 years.

Singing Frog and Eagles Nest strive to provide curriculum in an Indigenous context with activities that foster development in social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive skills.

The preschool programs are based on a holistic approach to early childhood experiences which emphasize the needs of the child within the family, school, and community. The programs are designed around play-based learning and include parent/guardian involvement. The preschools are fully licensed and have dedicated, qualified staff.

The goal at both preschools is to create a culturally-safe environment for preschool-aged children and their families to share family traditions and culture, foster a love for lifelong learning, and enrich all areas of development.
