Every year we offer workshops that encourage early childhood educators and support staff to share knowledge, skills, and stories that will help them design and deliver programs and services immersed in our cultures. Our conference is focused on Indigenous ways of knowing and being, but registration is open to all people working in the field of early learning and child car.
For our February conference, our team is excited to join with the Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care community and create a space for dialogue, collaboration, and learning, where participants can explore innovative strategies, wise practices, and research findings related to capacity enhancement.
Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (IELCC) plays a vital role in nurturing the well-being of Indigenous children, preserving cultural traditions, and building resilient communities. Capacity enhancement recognizes that our children, families, communities, and educators all have important strengths to offer and considers how we might continue to grow these strengths. It is an essential aspect of ensuring the provision of high-quality, culturally responsive child care services that meet the evolving needs of Indigenous children and families.
