At BCACCS, a primary focus of our training and professional development events is to translate our culturally rich traditions into effective early learning and child care (ELCC) programs and services. We believe that community involvement, leadership, and support are central to the healthy, holistic development of Indigenous children. We support early childhood education professionals to design and deliver programs and services that are immersed in our cultures and communities.

Accommodation for AHSOR/FNHA sponsored delegates and guests (board member, presenter, keynote):

Travel for Sponsored Delegates:
Flight-Contact conference coordinator, Veronica, at 604-314-3541 or email email@example.com to discuss flight arrangements. Note: Claims will only be honoured if made through the conference coordinator.
Mileage-Coverage is based on the lesser cost, either mileage or flight. Reimbursement for mileage refers to distance from your home community (departure address) to the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel – 7551 Westminster Highway, Richmond, BC and return (arrival address). Delegates travelling from the same home community are expected to carpool together. More claim information is provided on the travel claim form.
This year BCACCS is working with partners to support participants to attend conference.
The Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care (IELCC) Implementation conference bursary is now open. All applicants must be committed to registering for and attending three days of the BCACCS Annual Conference.
Professional Development Bursary Fund Available
In partnership with The Province of British Columbia – Ministry of Children & Family Development, and The Government of Canada, Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre (WCCRC) has established a Professional Development Bursary fund for early childhood educators and other child care providers in B.C.
Applications for bursary funding are now open to individuals, communities of practice and CCRR agencies. Funding is available to early childhood educators and other child care providers for training by publicly funded, non-profit organizations in B.C. The Professional Bursary Fund will be available until March 2020.
Trade Fair: Vendors and Exhibitors application to have a table at our annual conference are now open. Your participation will provide a unique opportunity to showcase your art, organization, or business to a truly exceptional audience of Indigenous early child care professionals from all across BC and even nationally. Tables at the event are placed in the common areas of the conference space, allowing for delegates to have continual, immediate access to your products. Those who decide to display for two or three days will be able to store their products in a secure storage room onsite, if needed.
Space is limited and all applications will be reviewed on the criteria of what is appropriate and unique to ensure that duplication of services and goods are minimized. The Trade Fair is always an exciting part of conference and we welcome applications from both past and new exhibitors.
