The New Relationship Trust (NRT) provides funding for projects that benefit Elders and/or Elders groups at the community or Nation level. The purpose of the initiative is capacity building that enhances knowledge, abilities, skills and processes in areas such as language and culture, mentorship, leadership and team building.
The FPCC Micro-Grant program assists Indigenous artists and collectives in British Columbia to achieve outcomes that respond to extenuating circumstances and emergent needs, as well as contribute to professional development in all artistic disciplines.
Provides funding to build quality, licensed child care in all regions of the province (on and off reserve). Indigenous Governments are eligible for up to $3 million in capital funding and Indigenous non-profit societies are eligible for up to $1.5 million (both at 100% Provincial contribution) to build a child care centre, renovate a building to create child care, or renovate to expand current child care services. Application intake is ongoing.
The First Peoples’ Cultural Council is offering grant funding for language-focused gatherings that bring together First Nations communities and organizations in B.C. to share about their current and future language revitalization projects and plans.
