VCF supports high impact social enterprises that create employment for people with barriers to employment, who provide needed products and services to underserved communities, or who offer innovative products or services that contribute to the development of sustainable local economies.
The grant programs of the MDRT Charitable Foundation Canada are designed to provide support to organizations that serve to enhance the "Quality of Life". Grants are awarded to organizations that provide services designed to help people in need. Application deadline is July 15 each year.
Career development and career counselling are the broad areas that are central to the Foundation’s interests and we generally focus on youth (between the ages of 12 and 30). In particular, the Foundation is interested in programs and projects that: eliminate barriers to the pursuit and attainment of meaningful work; promote employability; and raise career awareness.
The Community Action Initiative supports community-based projects with a specific focus on addressing mental health and substance use challenges in BC. They also provide funding to help service providers enhance their capacity to serve individuals and families experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
