Explore how by providing open ended materials to infants and toddlers can inspire creativity and less conflict with materials. Through hands-on experiences we will explore provocations, and how through aesthetically presenting materials you can support children’s theory’s, and problem solving, providing opportunities for children to look more deeply, and building on their existing ideas. We will share with you pedagogical documentation of how have used loose parts, and how many common themes and ideas reoccur. We will briefly touch on how significant loose parts (intelligent materials, beautiful junk) supports Schema’s, complimenting children’s learning and behaviour patterns.
