Cultural protocols are codes of behaviour that express the values of a community and describe ways to respectfully interact with one another and the environment. By incorporating protocols into our work, we are able to demonstrate respect for Indigenous cultures and perspectives and recognize Indigenous peoples’ unique position as original inhabitants and stewards of the land we live on.
