Mary Thomas Scholarship Opens Today!

Will you be completing a Basic Early Childhood Education program or a Post-Basic Early Childhood Education program with flying colors during the 2018/2019 school year? Celebrate by applying for the Mary Thomas Memorial ECE Scholarship. This scholarship is in honour and fond memory of a highly respected Neskonlith Elder, Mary Thomas. It is awarded after you complete your Basic or Post-Basic ECE certificate or diploma program (including all practicum requirements). The goal is to recognize and reward two Aboriginal ECE students each year for highest achievement including; overall academic standing (at an approved educational institution and ECE program within BC), outstanding accomplishments, volunteer work, community involvement, references, and history of the applicant. Each year, BCACCS offers one $1000 scholarship for eligible Basic ECE students and one $1500 scholarship for eligible Post-Basic ECE students.
