The Government of Canada has released a schedule of dates for engagement on the proposed federal Indigenous languages legislation.
The schedule for the B.C. engagement sessions is as follows:
• June 26, 2018 – Vancouver (Métis)
• June 27, 2018 – Vancouver (First Nations)
• June 29, 2018 – Kamloops (First Nations)
• July 4, 2018 – Nanaimo (First Nations)
• July 6, 2018 – Prince George (First Nations)
First Nations in B.C. have a voice in the development of this legislation. Please share this information with leadership and language advocates in your communities and encourage them to attend.
