Bursary Program for Indigenous Early Childhood Educators
This funding stream supports the Mary Thomas Memorial Scholarship, Child Care Recognition Awards, and helps lower costs for training.

Eagle’s Nest and Singing Frog Aboriginal Head Start Preschools
BCACCS hosts two Aboriginal Head Start (AHS) Preschools in Vancouver’s urban environment for Aboriginal children ages 3-5 years old. All AHS site programs are based on a holistic approach to early childhood experiences which emphasize the needs of the child within the family, school, and community. These programs are provided free of charge to eligible Aboriginal families, follow the play-based philosophy, and are designed to include parents.
